A photo is worth...how much??$$

I'm looking to upgrade our camera.
So dafni has the Nikon d40-dang its expensive though seems to be good value.
I may have to buy lens in a different place and other extras as well.
Options are Ebay, Fry"s , Amazon etc.
I can't wait!
Spring and summer woo hoo. SO much to photograph.
And Greg is getting married in our Temple!
Hugo has a major part in an opera in Shreveport in May.
Maybe a trip to NJ NY??
