So, interesting question: It is true that most religious people are against abortion. Yet most of us take birth control at some point or another. The question is if the pill is like a monthly abortion? I don't know its confusing actually. cause biologically it is but but its hard to think about it that way.
Maybe we are not thinking about it cause its uncomfortable but on the other hand , if we become so strict then using a condom is wasting sperm etc. So is it an individual choice or is it us not wanting to deal with it?
I don't know but i tend to believe that too extreme is not my policy...it depends on what you feel is true.

yes i am having lots of the same thoughts.... but my main issue with birth control right now is GETTING SOME! ahh cause i cannot get pregnant right now. well, i could. and if that's what Heavenly Father wants, then that's fine. :)
yeah, i would go with something other the the pill and the leave it to God but if someone is inspired to take the pill , who are we to judge you know?
its just confusing.
Don't worry about the check up, worst thing hate it but its fast and you are done, there is no way around it, you could do it here so we can go with you.
one advice: breathe like in yoga , it makes it much better.
hi i didn't know you had a blog! but it looks like i haven't missed much so that's good.
i have been thinking about this a lot lately, and i haven't been able to come to many conclusions either. i'm pretty sure i'm not a fan of the pill because it is a little more controversial in my mind, but after that i don't know.
also i think what i've decided is that using birth control is like the step we always learned in sunday school where we're supposed to study it out and then make a decision ourselves and ask the Lord if it's right. what mike and i want for ourselves is to put off having kids until we're better prepared, so we're going to take steps in that direction. if Heavenly Father has a different plan for us, there's not much we can do about that, and we'll have to accept that as it comes.
You have a blog??
You can't really tell if the pill causes abortion every time because not every time does an egg get fertilized, but if it does, then it is abortive because it prevents implantation (if you believe life at conception ... do you?). If you used a condom with the pill, the pill would be less likely to cause abortions because the sperm wouldn't have a chance to provide fertilization, if that's what preys on people's minds.
With birth control at this level, I tend to think it is us not wanting to deal with what we are given (and that includes myself), but as long as you realize that it is not foolproof and are willing to accept unforeseen children, then that's cool with me.
You should write more than once a month :)
Loretta, it would be kinda crazy fertile if you got conception every month , ha? (-: But yeah it is still confusing so I go back to individual choice here, cause I think we all agree on that and I think that each of us have a relationship with God.
Ed's mom said they did the "self control" method and it worked for them but then for some it will not work cause they get prego in weird times of the month or while breast feeding etc.
And I agree with you Loretta about no wanting to deal with what we are given. If I understand you right...
Miri,100% with you studying, praying, feeling what is true for you. RESPONSIBILITY dang.
